Milos N. Mladenovic

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Built Environment at Aalto University. My current teaching responsibilities at Aalto University include lecturing and curriculum development for Urban Transport Systems, Transport Systems Planning, and Transport Modeling courses. My research focuses on development of technology and planning practices for sustainable urban transportation systems.

My primary areas of expertise and interest include:

RESEARCHER

I perceive the role of scholarly research as an academic freedom to pursue the advancement of knowledge for the benefit of human kind. This advancement of knowledge can be achieved only by continuous innovation, under good project organization, while maintaining integrity, civility, and responsibility.

EDUCATOR

I do not perceive myself solely as a teacher. I help my students think, and become engineers that will change the world. However, as an educator, I believe that I should foster the development of “a state of the mind” and wide range of skills that modern multidisciplinary “new generation” engineers need.

SOCIAL IMPACT

Carpe diem is my personal motto that reflects my general attitude towards every new day in life. Engaging in research, teaching, hands-on training, and outreach, I have the priviledge to create and foster positive change. It is my responsibility to share my knowledge and skills, and contribute to scientific advancement and building better world.
